John Koch was a man who had it all, a successful attorney with a beautiful wife and 3 sons. But John was pursued by the demons of his youth and the hatred of his father. He began drinking heavily to erase these demons, but the drink only made it worse and he began to destroy his life and that of his family, eventually ending up homeless, a broken man with nothing to show for all his hard work except to be known as a bum, a worthless individual, a scab on society.
After being hit by a car, he lost his memory and an unexpected windfall brought him back to a comfortable way of living, however he soon discovers that his life is not what it should be and when he regains his memory, he is horrified by what his past has wrought on the ones that he loved.
